In plain terms, we believe in rewarding positive behavior. We actively seek out students who are doing the right thing and give them a Timbertail Token. Students earn tokens for just about anything they do that is expected. In my classroom this could mean lining up quickly, doing nice things for others, getting started right away on tasks and listening attentively. We believe that focusing on positive behavior, instead of negative, leads to more positive behavior. However, should students decide to not follow our classroom expectations, we do have punishments set in place through our minor/major referral system.
Feel free to ask your child about their tokens. They LOVE getting them!!
